Boozhoo!

My name is Zoey Therriault. I'm an Ojibwe/Odawa artisan from Aroland First Nation, with Eshkakogan/Toulouse relations in Sagamok Anishinaabek and Wikwemikong. Some of my earliest memories are of my mom sewing and teaching others - and eventually, she taught me too. I made my first ribbon skirt at 10 years old, and since then l've been drawn to learning any art connected to my place as an Anishinaabe kwe.During COVID lockdowns, I dove deeper into beading and sewing. Since then, l've been blessed with so many teachings: appliqué, birch bark work, dentalium, regalia, quillwork - and even making the Ojibwe strap dress, our grandmother's dress.Lately, l've wanted to finally share my work more. This page is one of the places where I'll be posting my beadwork, sewing, and other art. I also have a page where you can shop!Miigwech to everyone who's supported and taught me along the way.Welcome to my website!
